British Superbike rider Danny Buchan began racing motorcycles at the age of 6 and has been a winner across a number of championships he has competed in.
A 2x Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Champion and British Superbike winner, Danny competes in the worlds top domestic motorcycle championship the Bennetts British Superbike Championship riding for the FS3 Racing Kawasaki Team.
Danny 'Boom' Buchan began racing from 1999 and after a number of successful seasons in National motocross, winning many races and championships, he switched onto the tarmac with the Aprilia Superteens class in 2007 & 2008.
During the 2008 season, Danny stepped up onto a Formula 400 Kawasaki ZXR 400 motorcycle and continued racing into the following season, becoming the champion in 2009. Alongside this, he was able to also compete in the MRO 600 class on a Yamaha R6 where he finished 2nd in his first season on the bike.
2010 see Danny's impressive form rewarded with him promoted to the National Superstock 600 class, riding an MSS Kawasaki ZX6 R in one of the support series for the BSB Championship. It was a successful rookie season in the British Championship which he managed to finish 3rd overall in an impressive debut season.
Continuing his progression up the support ranks Danny was picked up by the MSS Performance Kawasaki 1000 team for 2011 and finished 3rd in his first season on the 1000cc machinery in the BSB National Superstock 1000 championship.
In 2012, Danny's career progressed into the premier class in the UK, the British Superbike Championship with the MSS Kawasaki team. Danny was promoted to the BSB halfway through the season whilst leading the championship in the Superstock class. An impressive P4 race results in the BSB class during the year being a highlight of the season.
The following year, Danny would stay in the British Superbike Championship for the first half of the season and then compete in the Supersport class to end the season.
Following some challenges, Danny and his team decided to step back into the highly competitive National Superstock 1000 Class for 2014, with aims on becoming British Champion and Danny delivered just that, winning the champion with Morello Kawasaki to become National Superstock 1000 champion of 2014!
After the superb winning streak in the 2014 season, for 2015 he was offered a ride back in the British Superbike Championship with the BeWiser Kawasaki team. This season sees Danny take his first podiums in the BSB class in a couple of races and P12 in the championship.
Danny continued in the British Superbike class for 2016, this time switching from Kawasaki to the Moto Rapido Ducati team. After 6 difficult races, Danny left the team and competed in the Euro Superstock Championship as a wildcard for select rounds during the year.
Danny returned to the National Superstock 1000 Championship with the aim to regain his British title he won back in 2014. He had a hard-fought season but after many wins, Danny become the National Superstock 1000 British Champion once again in 2017!
Becoming champions again see Danny progress back to the premier class and return to the British Superbike Championship with the Kawasaki FS-3 team in 2018.
A competitive season with great results throughout was rewarded with a number of podiums and see Danny just miss out of the "Shoot Out" finishing P11 in the championship.
This season Danny and the team have been at the very sharp end of the action throughout the year with podiums and at the Knockhill round in June, Danny took his and the FS-3 teams first every BSB victory!
Currently, Danny is well on course to be in the "Shoot Out" and is an impressive P5 in the championship, by far the top independent rider mixing it with the top factory riders.
