Round 7 of the BSB Championship see the teams and riders head to the challenging Thruxton Circuit in Andover, Hampshire.
A fast and flowing circuit that demands the riders to be fully committed and disciplined as tyre life plays a key role in being fast all through the race as degradation is high.
Danny came into the weekend looking for a double points finish and was fast all weekend qualifying in P12 for Race 1 as the pack was very closely matched.
A brave start and disciplined ride see Danny climb up to P8 early in the race before some great late-race battles ended with Danny finishing a very competitive P6 in the race.
Race 2 was an eventful race with two red flag stoppages, one for rain and the other for oil on the circuit after a crash causing a long delay before ended with an 8 lap dash to the flag.
Danny pushed hard and finished the eventful race in P8 moving him up to P4 in the championship standings.
Danny had this to say about the weekend:
“Overall a good weekend and very solid for the championship as I can into the weekend aiming for two good points finishes which we got with a P6 and P8, moving us up to P4 in the championship. Thruxton is a hard race weekend due to the way the track is and riders overriding sometimes so to come away with these results is good news. The last 8 laps of Race 2 after the red flag was just crazy! I rode so hard and it was great to battle with the guys. Looking forward to the next round at Cadwell Park to solidify my position in the Show Down as we have Cadwell then the triple header of Oulton Park before the Showdown begins. We need to be consistent and bag as many points as we can for that Showdown position”
